Fiscal Conservatism: live within our means and keep Utah the best managed state in the country with small, efficient, responsive government
Local Control: keep decisions local whenever possible
Collaborative Decision Making: state government should work closely WITH, NOT AGAINST, our local county, cities, and school district.
Investing in Education: As Utahans, we value education. Our children are our most important resource; high-quality public education benefits everyone in the community.
Preserving Open Space: protecting our hillside and our lakeside for outdoor recreation
Proactive Planning: balancing economic growth with protecting quality of life for us and our grandchildren
Protecting the Vulnerable: children, homeless, minorities, mentally ill, financially insecure, broken families, and those recovering from addiction
Religious Liberty & Freedom: we must rigorously guard religious liberties, relentlessly encourage freedom, and fiercely protect the rights of each individual
I reject the divisive fear based politics of Washington DC. I believe in a better way — the Utah Way. I believe in our conservative Republican Principles that tell us WE CAN:
● We can be fiscally conservative and we can give a hand-up to those who need help
● We can fight for personal liberty and religious freedoms and we can work together to solve challenging social problems
● We can support our local schools and we can give parents choices in education
● We can have strong economic growth and at the same time we can protect our family friendly communities
● We can support our Police and we can stamp out bullying and racism in our schools and communities
● We can be respectful, compassionate and kind and we can stand firm in the conservative principles that help make Utah the best managed State in the country
